Meet Karina

Some people enjoy hosting. Karina has always gone a little further. From making sure every corner is spotless to secretly arranging Brazilian dancers to surprise her party guests, she loves the thoughtful touches—and unexpected moments—that make people feel special. Her attention to detail started young: growing up in Bolivia, she would follow the family’s housekeeper with a little extra tidying of her own. Caring for a home has never felt like just a chore to Karina; it is something she genuinely enjoys.

At 20, she moved to Florida and discovered a love for tropical life. Years later, while travelling throughout Costa Rica with her husband, she fell in love again—this time with Playa Tambor. Its culture reminded her of her childhood, and its unspoiled surroundings offered something she treasured: a place where the jungle still meets the beach. Today, that connection to the area shapes the welcome she brings to Costa Luxe. For Karina, hosting is about more than providing a lovely place to stay. It is about sharing a place she loves and making sure you feel welcome in it.
